Virginia Beach Higher Praise Choir Competition | |

Event Date: 15th Jan ’10 – 16th Jan ‘10 Event Time: 15 January 6pm-10pm 16 January 1pm-5pm Event Venue: Inside Waterside, Downtown Norfolk, Virginia Beach Norfolk Festevents and Emagine Events are organizing the Higher Praise Choir Competition at the Waterside in Downtown Norfolk. The event will take place on the 15th & the 16th of January 2010. The competition will take place from 6 pm to 10 pm on the 15th and 1pm to 5 pm on the 16th January. The "HIGHER PRAISE" choir competition carries a $1,000 cash prize for the winning choir and the opportunity to perform at an event to be held at the Attucks Theater in December. It will also be performing for the opening act for a high profile gospel concert in January 2010. The four semi-finalist choirs will each receive a cash prize. The competition which will entertain only the first 20 choir groups to register, will celebrate excellence in choral singing in Hampton Roads and will shine a spotlight on the talent and diversity of styles native to the community. Competing choirs will perform on-stage. Celebrated Gospel artist, Bishop Bobby Hilton, will lend a more mystic end to the competition by a "live" performance of his hit new single "God Did That Thing". Bishop Hilton will also serve as a celebrity judge. |
